The Democratic National Committee delayed its July convention in Milwaukee until August. Wisconsin has a primary this Tuesday, but hasn't cancelled or delayed in-person voting like many other states have done.

Emergency Call in ID - Fix Health Care Now

Boise, ID - The patients have run out of patience, and so have their doctors and employers. They are all part of a new national campaign kicking off today in Boise, demanding health care reform now.

Bret Noble with Idaho Community Action Network says the proposal on the table would create an optional national insurance system for those without coverage, people who are underinsured, those with pre-existing conditions, and consumers unhappy with their private insurance policies.

"We just want to create an alternative. We want to have an option for anyone that doesn't currently have access to a plan."

Noble says no one would be forced to change to the new public health plan, so people happy with what they have could keep it. Critics believe the proposal is unfair competition for private insurance companies and would encourage employers to drop coverage.

Noble argues that an insurance alternative is sorely needed.

"We really want a national plan that anybody can buy into, that no one can be denied access to, and that is affordable."
