Bucks County, PA – Jobs! They're right here, right now, for Pennsylvania's clean-energy industries. Sierra Club is highlighting what the state's companies are doing on the renewable energy front, with a special focus on the kinds of jobs that have been created.

Stephanie Odell, with the Sierra Club, says whether its remodeling buildings to be more energy-efficient or setting up geothermal wells for heating, efforts to curb climate-change pollution are creating an evolving economy.

"A lot of these jobs use the same skills as traditional jobs. We just need to show examples of how using those skills can create more clean energy."

One example Odell points to is Gamesa in Bucks County, which supplies the growing wind energy industry across the country.

"They're manufacturing wind turbines right here in Bucks County. And Bucks County is going to be the site of a solar energy installation, too."

Sierra Club is sponsoring bus tours in Philadelphia and Bucks County this weekend to showcase "green jobs" and other projects designed to cut traditional energy costs.
