Mes de la Recuperación Termina con Bastante Éxito en Arizona

Phoenix, AZ – El "Mes de la Recuperación" termina este último día de septiembre dando gracias al trabajo y esfuerzo de aquellos que combaten con adicciones, y también para los que proveen el tratamiento y se convierten en guías de las personas en recuperación. El mensaje de este mes es que la recuperación de la enfermedad de la adicción al alcohol o las drogas es posible y en Arizona se celebran las historias exitosas.

Emily Jenkins con el Concilio en Arizona de Proveedores de Servicios Humanos (Arizona Council of Human Service Providers) dice que varias veces las personas con problemas de adicción son tratados como casos perdidos, cuando en verdad lo que necesitan es escuchar que recuperación de su enfermedad es posible.

"La gente se mejora y recuperan su vida perdida. Otros crean una mejor vida que reemplaza la horrible vida que tenían antes."

Dwight Bocage es consejero de recuperación en Tucson y él celebra su propio éxito de combatir adicciones – las cuales descubrió estaban conectadas a situaciones emocionales las cuales ha aprendido a controlar.

"Lo que encontré que me sirvió y ayudo fue el ponerme en una posición de aprendizaje. Necesitaba a personas que me ayudaran a entender que es lo que me estaba pasando, porque yo no sabía."

Josh Ross de Phoenix se convirtió adicto en su adolescencia y encontró recuperación en sus años 20s cuando dice que entendió que los proveedores de tratamiento en verdad toman importancia en cada paciente y quieren que su recuperación sea exitosa.

"Me dieron un diseño para vivir mi vida que me da la oportunidad de vivir sin drogas."
