El AARP hace la temporada de impuestos menos difícil para californianos

Sacramento, CA - En esta temporada de apretón de cinturón no podemos decir que no a ayuda gratuita en cuanto a personas que preparan impuestos. Esto es lo que ofrece el Programa de Ayuda de Impuestos por parte del AARP a los residentes de ingresos medios y bajos en California, con atención especial a las personas de 60 años en adelante.

Este programa es trabajado por expertos entrenados por parte del Departamento del IRS quienes están disponibles a través del estado. Christina Clem, Directora Asociada de Comunicaciones para el AARP en California dice que este es el 41 aniversario de existencia de este programa.

"Considerando la manera en la que la economía se encuentra actualmente y que la gente se está apretando el cinturón tratando de encontrar maneras para ahorrar dinero, en verdad queremos que estas personas sepan que existe este servicio gratuito."

También dice Clem que muchos de estos sitos tienen ayuda de voluntarios bilingües. Y menciona que muchos de los sitios ofrecen la declaración de impuestos electrónica, la cuál permite al contribuyente recibir su reembolso de impuestos mucho más rápido.

"Aquellos que estén interesados pueden ir al sitio en la Web del AARP y ahí pueden encontrar las locaciones en su área, de ahí llaman por teléfono y coordinan una cita. Asegúrense de tener todos los documentos necesarios y tendrán entonces todo hecho sin ningún costo."

El AARP está preparado para que más californianos tomen ventaja de este servicio gratuito, incluyendo aquellos contribuyentes que aplicaron para recibir el cheque de estímulo económico el año pasado. Menciona Clem que mucha de esa gente que no habían declarado sus impuestos en años, descubrieron que eran elegibles para el Crédito de Impuestos por Ingreso Ganado, para el cual podrán ser elegibles también este año.
