CINCINNATI, Ohio - An Ohio hospital is getting some star power. The Ryan Seacrest Foundation is opening a broadcast studio inside Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center that will allow young patients and their families the chance to express their creativity.

Studio manager Zach Wells said it's a place for kids to relax and take their minds off their hospital stay.

"They're the toughest and bravest people I've ever seen, they've had to grow up so fast that allowing them time to be kids again, they can play and have fun, is really what we're after here" Wells said.

The studio will broadcast on a closed-circuit channel and will include game shows, music, celebrity interviews and performances, and a variety of other kid-friendly shows. A ribbon-cutting will be held today, featuring appearances by Ryan Seacrest and other special guests.

The studio is located in the main concourse of the hospital and is encased in glass so that those walking by can see what's happening. Wells said everyone is welcome inside to participate, and the expression on their faces says it all.

"They walk in and they just have this look of complete like wonder and joy," he said. "The really fun part is when you really can't tell who is having the most fun, whether it's the patient, the patient's sibling or the patient's parents, who often are rightfully stressed out."

The Ryan Seacrest Foundation, along with funding from other sponsors, has opened five other studios across the country, in Atlanta, Philadelphia, Orange County, Charlotte and Dallas.
