La votación anticipada en las primarias de Nevada finaliza mañana, pero si se la pierde, no se desespere. Hay varias formas de seguir votando. Puede enviar su boleta por correo, siempre que tenga matasellos del día de las elecciones o antes.

Brian Harris, un organizador para la educación electoral del Institute for a Progressive Nevada (Instituto para un Nevada Progresista), dice que, por supuesto, aún puede votar en persona el martes 14 de junio.

"Se le pedirá que entregue su boleta de votación por correo o que firme el formulario que dice que no intentará votar con esa boleta. El trabajador electoral escribirá "cancelado" en la boleta y luego se le pedirá que vote en persona", explicó Harris.

Si envía su boleta por correo, solo será válida si firma el sobre. Puede encontrar otros consejos e información sobre los candidatos en el sitio web del secretario de estado o en votesmartnv.org, un sitio creado por una coalición no partidista de grupos que incluyen Silver State Voices, ACLU, Institute for a Progressive Nevada y el Asian Community Development Council.

Si tiene preguntas sobre su boleta o voto, puede comunicarse con el registrador de votantes de su condado o llamar a línea directa de protección de votantes al 866-OUR VOTE (866-687-8683).

Harris comenta que cada elección, cada carrera desde el gobernador hasta la junta escolar, impacta la vida de las personas, por lo que todos deben asegurarse de que sus voces sean escuchadas.

"Esta es su casa. Aquí es donde vive la gente. Aquí es donde la gente trabaja y tiene su familia. Entonces, si quiere que las cosas cambien en su comunidad, debe salir y ser el cambio que su comunidad necesita", agregó también Harris.

Si hay una discrepancia o si el sobre de su boleta no tiene una firma, el condado intentará comunicarse con usted para "corregir" la boleta. El último día para corregir cualquier error es el 20 de junio.
