MADISON, Wis. - Protecting the valuable natural resources in Wisconsin is the goal of a series of listening posts being held across the state. The Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters is asking citizens what they think lawmakers need to do when it comes to the state's natural resources.

Central organizer Matt Dannenberg is setting up the sessions for the League.

"We provide legislators with a tidy conservation list of things to do, so they have a direct thing to refer to when they are legislating."

Dannenberg says the goal is to provide legislators with a list of items that Wisconsinites want action on.

"We're heading out to the streets and getting input directly from the citizens about how legislators should tackle the issues."

Dannenberg says members of a wide range of conservation groups, including local lake associations, sportsmen's groups, environmental organizations, farming groups, and others will participate this year.

The meeting schedule can be found at www.conservationvoters.org
